Nagarkot
General information
“Nagarkot” hill station as a fort for Tibet and Nepal in the past is located 32 km east
of the capital Kathmandu and just 1 hour 15 minutes drive from the airport.
Nagarkot is an old Tamang village at the walking trail en route to the Tibetan plateau in the past. Today it is an ideal place to see sunrise and sunset, the local life style of old
Tamang culture and spectacular views of Himalayas with the beauty of nature. We highly
recommend to come to Nagarkot to relax after trekking and to enjoy nature in fresh and clean air escaping from polluted and noisy Kathmandu.
How to get there
By bus: Bus from Kathmandu bus park to Bhaktapur (ask for Kamal Binayak bus
stop) From there take the bus to Nagarkot market.
Note: If you wish you can travel on the bus roof but roads are mostly
bending mountain roads.
By taxi: Normally taxis are very small, running fast and not very comfortable.
By tourist car: We highly recommend to use tourist cars which are private, well kept
and safe.
On your request we can arrange a taxi, a car or a van for you.
Life is beautiful, keep smiling!
